The aim at EASiSITE is to keep our process simple, yet thorough.
Here is an overview of how things work. If it seems at all confusing, fear not. You will be clearly guided through each phase.
Lets Find Out What You Need And, Just As Importantly, What You Don’t Need.
This part of the process is the most important as it sets the foundation for budget, design and functionality.
Before providing a quote or contacting you to flesh out your ideas the first step is to ask you to fill out a website questionnaire.
This questionnaire is critical to understanding your brand, business, clients, and desired results along with your budget. The more information you can provide, the better your requirements can be matched to an affordable website package and the better your website will be.
The questionnaire gives you an opportunity to communicate your needs for the site: –
- Who is your target audience?
- Is this a new site or do you already have a website?
- What are your goals & objectives for your website?
- What do you want your site to look like?
- Do you have all your content ready – logos, images, text?
Once the features you need or want have been identified, a proposal outlining the scope and cost of the project will be provided, presented in a simple, easy-to-understand format.
Prices are fixed unless you change the scope of the project.
Before Anything Else, Preparation Is The Key To Success
Alexander Graham Bell
So hopefully you think EASiSITE is a good fit and decide to proceed – I’m always excited to start new projects!!
The next step is to provide you with a full list of everything you need to prepare prior to work starting on your site.
This includes tasks you need to undertake and things you need to send through ready for adding to your site. Creating your website content will take double to triple the time you think it will and I need you to complete it so that I can do the best job possible for you.
Please set aside time in your calendar to ensure it gets done.
Don’t worry I’ll share resources to help you along the way and, if you have requested help in preparing your content, that will have already been addressed in the Discover phase.
I work with one client at a time, reserving blocks of time to work on each project instead of dividing my attention and juggling multiple clients and timelines.
When you’ve completed your tasks and are ready to send everything through, it’s time to book a slot in my design & build queue. All your content must be with me at least one week before your project begins.
Now Comes The Exciting Part!
Based on the previous steps, I will implement a design using a layout I believe to be best suited to your requirements and build out the site. You will, of course, have the opportunity to ask for changes to the layout during this phase.
- Implementation of the design
- Customisation to suit your brand
- Adding your content
- Optimise usability
A development site will be created and once I’m satisfied it meets your criteria you will be given a link to review your site and provide feedback.
Throughout the design and build, I will be in constant communication with you to ensure you’re on board with the direction the site is taking.
I ask that you make yourself available during the design and build time slot. I will be keeping you informed of progress, may have questions, may need to confirm decisions or answer questions you may have. I will need your honest feedback.
To keep your project on track, I need you to be responsive throughout this period responding to emails and other communications.
At the end of the design and build phase I will make sure everything has been tested and all i’s and t’s dotted and crossed. Its now that you will be asked to approve the site ready for launch.
Your Domain Name Will Be Connected To Your New Site And Voila!
My favourite phase!
Your domain name will be connected to your new site and voila! A fabulous website that your customers will love…
Start telling the world and bring on the celebrations!
Installing your site on your server usually takes a day or two unless there is a need to wait for certain elements of your server to be configured.
Training on how to use your site will be scheduled close to the time the site is launched and, If you haven’t yet made any decision on a maintenance package, I can discuss your options in line with EASiSITE’s website maintenance plans so you will remain supported post launch.
